CLONING
I think the only tolerable reason for cloning is to grow organs or tissue to help save a preexisting person's life. People who want to create life - whether by cloning entire human beings OR by growing embryos in test tubes - are almost outrageously selfish and irresponsible. There is no shortage of orphaned children that need to be adopted or looked after- how can you justify creating life in a test tube simply out of genetic vanity? There are millions of people in this world in poverty; starving for food, jobs, or hope - how about we, as a society, first look after the people who are born the natural way before being concerned about the best ways to create a younger genetic clone of ourselves out of academic curiosity?
